Hope 4 Good sends free personalized care packages every month to kids battling critical illness — including cancer — anywhere in the country.
What makes it special is that every box is built around your specific child. After you register, someone from their team calls you personally to learn about your child's favorite things, their clothing and shoe sizes, and any special needs. Then they put together a package with gifts from sponsors, an inspirational message, and clothing and shoes that actually fit. Nothing about it is generic.
Any child facing a critical illness qualifies, and it is completely free. They work closely with Make A Wish, Granted, and Ronald McDonald House Charities, and typically accept families through those partner organizations. If you are not connected to one of those organizations, you will need a recommendation from your child's doctor or social worker to apply.
Once you register, it takes about 15–30 days to receive your first box. Keep in mind that registration for each month closes about two weeks in advance, so the sooner you sign up, the better.
