Make-A-Wish Foundation

Make-A-Wish grants one free life changing wish to children battling critical illnesses including cancer. Whatever your child's heart desires, a trip to Disney, meeting a favorite celebrity, having a treehouse built in the backyard, a puppy, seeing snow for the first time, they work to make it happen at absolutely no cost to your family. To qualify your child must be between 2 and a half and 17 years old at the time of referral and diagnosed with a progressive, degenerative, or malignant condition placing their life in jeopardy. Your child does not have to be terminal. Many wish kids go on to lead full healthy lives. Your child cannot have previously received a wish from another wish granting organization.

A referral can be submitted by a parent or legal guardian, a doctor, nurse, social worker, or child life specialist. To start the process visit wish.org/refer-a-child. Once referred, specially trained volunteers meet with your child and family to discover their one true wish. Make-A-Wish handles every single detail of planning and coordinating so your family can focus entirely on the joy of the experience.

Para calificar tu hijo debe tener entre 2 años y medio y 17 años al momento de la solicitud y tener un diagnóstico de una condición progresiva, degenerativa o maligna que ponga su vida en peligro. No tiene que estar en fase terminal. Muchos niños que reciben un deseo siguen adelante y crecen con salud. Tu hijo tampoco puede haber recibido un deseo de otra organización similar antes.
