If your child is being treated at Maine Medical Center in Portland, this Ronald McDonald House gives your family a free place to stay just 0.4 miles from the hospital. They have 36 private guest rooms at 250 Brackett Street and a free 24/7 shuttle running between the house and the hospital so you're never far from your child.
Every night volunteers and community meal partners provide a hot dinner for all families staying at the house. You also have full use of a shared kitchen with a stocked pantry, laundry facilities, and an indoor playroom for kids. Everything is completely free — they run on donations so no family ever gets a bill.
