One of the biggest challenges during cancer treatment is simply getting to the hospital or clinic. The Road To Recovery program helps ease this burden by providing free rides to and from cancer related medical appointments. Trained volunteer drivers pick you up at your home, take you to your treatment, and bring you back safely once you are finished.
This service is completely free and is designed to make sure that a lack of transportation never stands in the way of a child receiving life saving care. Because it can take several business days to coordinate a driver, it is important to call and schedule your ride well in advance of your appointment. If the patient is under 18, a caregiver must ride along with them.
