On October 23, 2023, our daughter Cassy was diagnosed with B-ALL Leukemia at 11 years old. Punctured lungs. Pneumonia. We almost lost her twice. In those hardest moments, we didn't know that help existed in our own city local programs, financial assistance, families who had already walked this road. The resources were there. We just couldn't find them. It wasn't until we met other parents who'd been through it that we realized: we'd been doing this alone when we didn't have to. Cosmic Cassy is everything we wish we had on day one.
