Kesem creates life-changing experiences for kids and teens who have a parent with cancer or who have lost a parent to cancer. They run week-long summer camps where your child can just be a kid again, surrounded by other kids who truly get what they're going through. The camps are completely free and include everything from traditional camp activities to specialized support sessions led by trained counselors who understand the unique challenges these families face.

But Kesem doesn't stop at camp. They build lasting communities through their support groups that meet throughout the year, giving kids ongoing connections with peers who share similar experiences. They also offer family programs and resources to help parents support their children through this incredibly difficult journey. Their trained student leaders, many of whom are childhood cancer survivors themselves or have been affected by a parent's cancer, provide mentorship and understanding that's hard to find elsewhere.

What makes Kesem special is how they normalize the cancer experience for kids while still acknowledging how hard it is. They create safe spaces where your child doesn't have to explain why they're worried about mom's chemo or why they're scared dad might not come home from the hospital. The other kids already know. Kesem serves children from elementary age through college, adapting their programs to meet kids where they are developmentally and emotionally.
