About This Resource
Resource Stats
The Cooper Trooper Foundation provides free Courage Kits specifically designed for the healthy siblings of children with cancer. These kits include comfort items, age-appropriate books explaining what their sibling will go through, and resources to help them understand their important role as a "super-sibling" during treatment. The kits can be requested online and are shipped free anywhere in the United States.
The foundation was started by parents who experienced firsthand how siblings can get "lost in the shuffle" when all focus turns to the child with cancer. Each kit celebrates the sibling's strength and courage while providing emotional support and education during an incredibly difficult time. The foundation also funds childhood cancer research through an endowment with Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
