Ansley's Rainbows of Hope helps Georgia families pay for gas, food, and lodging when your child needs medical care far from home. When you're spending weeks or months at a hospital with your sick kid, those costs add up fast. Gas to drive back and forth, meals because you can't cook, hotel rooms when you can't make it home. It's overwhelming.
They cover travel expenses for families who live at least 30 miles from the hospital where their child is getting care. Your child needs to be 18 or under and critically ill or injured. Either you live in Georgia or your child is being treated at a Georgia hospital. You get referred through your hospital social worker, medical clinic, or Ronald McDonald House staff. The organization was started by parents who lost their daughter Ansley in 2001 and understand exactly what families go through.
