AeroAngel provides free private jet flights for children who are too sick to fly on commercial airlines but need to get to a hospital far from home for life-saving treatment. When your child needs specialized care at a children's hospital across the country, flying commercial can be dangerous or impossible.

The crowds, the germs, the stress of navigating airports when your kid is medically fragile. It's overwhelming and sometimes just not safe. That's where AeroAngel steps in.

They coordinate private jet flights completely free for families. Your child can travel safely with you and other caregivers without exposure to crowds or the physical demands of commercial travel.

They work with volunteer pilots, donated jets, and charter flights to make it happen. The service is available in all 50 states and they can fly into both major airports and smaller regional ones to get you as close to home or the hospital as possible. To qualify, your child needs to be medically fragile and unable to safely fly commercially.

They must be stable enough to travel as cleared by their doctor, able to board a small aircraft with assistance, and traveling for life-saving medical care. Most passengers are 18 and under but they also consider young adults who have been dealing with health challenges since childhood.

You need a letter of medical necessity from your doctor but they can work with recent medical records while you get that sorted out.Parents, family members, friends, or even medical professionals can request a flight on behalf of a child. They review requests within 24 hours and move even faster for urgent cases.

They recommend requesting at least three weeks in advance when possible but they do their best to accommodate emergency situations. There's no limit to how many flights a family can take.

If your child needs ongoing treatment across the country, they'll keep helping as long as you need them.
