MATIO provides free martial arts therapy to help children with cancer and other serious illnesses manage stress, pain, and trauma. Kids ages 3 through young adulthood (including siblings) can join in-person or virtual sessions at no cost to families. The program teaches kids martial arts-based coping techniques that help them feel more powerful and in control during their healing journey.
The MATIO Method focuses on helping children move from simply complying with treatment to feeling ownership and choice in their healing process.
