Ronald McDonald House of Richmond provides free temporary housing for families whose children are receiving medical treatment at any Richmond area hospital. They offer comfortable rooms, shared kitchens, laundry facilities, and a supportive community of other families going through similar experiences. You can stay close to your child while they receive care without worrying about hotel costs.
Beyond housing, they run several programs to support families throughout the Richmond medical community. Their Family Room program gives you a quiet space to rest just steps from your child's hospital room. They also provide sibling support through their dedicated center, hospitality carts with snacks and comfort items, and meal programs. They're currently building a new 50-room facility in Jackson Ward to serve even more families in need.
